Give our new video feature a try. A fresh new way of engaging with parents and carers.
This is where parents land when they open your school app. Designed to provide an at-a-glance view of what’s coming up at school and the opportunity to promote your latest news, too. The app interface is available in English and Welsh with other languages, on request.
Parents tell us this is by far the most important feature on mySchoolApp. Providing easy access to the school calendar on their phone means children are better prepared and less calls to the school office. Presented with a clear layout, the calendar offers the option to view as a list and refine by category.
Send unlimited messages. Push notifications replace costly texts. Send a message to all app users, a group (e.g. Year 7 or the science club), or an individual parent (option). Linked app messaging ensures parents/carers don't miss important information, a single tap takes them directly to a document, event, news or consent item.
Update your school news as it happens and it’s available to read on parents’ phones straight away. This feed builds into a complete archive of school news and possibly means you could ‘retire’ the school newsletter. Providing your news as a feed on the app means parents with EAL requirements can read stories in the language of their choice.
Save time in the school office when parents notify you of their child’s absence via the app. Parent/Carers complete a form on the app, ensuring you get the required information. All submissions are PIN/Touch ID secured to ensure notifications are actually sent by the registered parent or carer.
Engage with EAL parents, without creating any additional work for school staff using our translation Booster option. All the text content you add (news, events, consent etc.) can be viewed in a over 60 languages, selected by the user on the app settings page. The app interface is available in English and Welsh. Other languages, on request.
Parents love seeing pictures of what their children are doing at school. Add albums of images quickly and easily. School plays, trips, Football even an art gallery of their work. The list is endless and will encourage parents to download and use the app.
The gallery is free option and can be removed from the app on request.
As many people now prefer to watch rather than read, we’ve added video to the app. Upload and manage without the need for third-party hosting (or the pesky ads). How could your school use video? A vlog, an explainer video, or maybe an update from the Head, it’s up to you.
All the school’s contact details in one place. Tap to call or email. Option to add contact details for staff members. Parents can also provide feedback to the school.
Provide access on the app to those all important documents – Policies, Letters home, Forms and Surveys. Linked app messaging direct to specific documents, means less paper, printing and having to rely on pupil-post. Could you go paperless?
A cure to the headache that is managing paper-based parental consent. Cut down on time-consuming administration between school and parents/carers. Add one-off or blanket consent forms at the start of the year and at any time for visit-specific consent.
Parents can view a dashboard with details of their child. Attendance, Punctuality and achievement are all displayed in a graphic format. Information is pulled 'live' from the school's MIS
